A BOLD NEW MEDIUM

Before Netflix reigned. Before YouTube dominated. Before streaming video was abundant and good internet storytelling was a thing....

THE PROBLEM - how do you tell affordable cinematic one-shots or rich serialized stories on an internet built for slow modems, tiny file sizes, and no bandwidth?

THE SOLUTION - as the creator of the award-winning web saga Broken Saints and one of the medium's earliest champions, I helped transform motion comics from a niche experiment into a legitimate storytelling format embraced by audiences, creators, and major studios alike.

MY ROLE

- Pioneer, producer, director, writer, and consultant
- Created one of the world's first long-form motion comic series (57 episodes).
- Helped establish the visual grammar and storytelling language of the medium
- Demonstrated how small teams could create cinematic experiences without traditional animation budgets
- Advocated for motion comics as a powerful transmedia storytelling tool at worldwide events including San Diego Comicon, Sundance Film Festival, Megacon, ROMICS, CBC Reads, and more.

### SELECT CLIENTS & PROPERTIES

Motion comics didn't succeed despite the limitations of the early internet. They succeeded because we embraced them.

By combining illustrated artwork, layered imagery, voice acting, music, sound design, and cinematic editing, the format delivered emotionally engaging stories while remaining lightweight, accessible, and highly cost-effective.

For studios, it became a powerful way to expand worlds beyond film, television, comics, and games.

For creators, it proved that imagination and access to exciting new digital tools could help put small teams and individuals on a level playing field with the big boys.
